First Father
Apolinario Lezada

Father Apolinario "Pol" Lezada is the first ordained priest originally from San Antonio. He was ordained 20 years ago and has always been a very active Sacristan during his "notorious days" – as his batchmates call it, at T.R.Yangco Educational Institute Class 1974.

Now a parish priest of St. Joseph's Church in Olongapo City, Fr. Pol took a respite from his priestly duties and toured Hawaii and California. He visited with relatives and friends in both states. While in Los Angeles, Fr. Pol visited Disneyland with friend Sonny Justiniano while Ms.Nenita Gonzales took him around L.A. and he also met with Fr. Kenny. Last June 14th Fr.Pol celebrated mass with kababayans at the residence of Emiluz and Albert Reyes in Chula Vista.

Fr. Pol's visit was the stimulus for Yangco Class '74 to have a reunion. Held at the residence of Rey and Concep Araniego, the reunion among old schoolmates was the highlight of his short stay in San Diego.
