T.R.Y.E.I. Batch '67
18-20 JAN 2008, San Antonio - The Ruby Jubilee of TRYEI Class '67 was marked with
festivities attended by approximately 35 members of the class and their families.
The affair, initially scheduled for three days, was extended to six! They were probably
having too much fun!
The jubilee theme: Agkay-kaysa pay laeng kalpasan ti 40-tawen
Still together after 40 years!
With a kick-off party hosted by Rogie and Libby Lucero at their home and
music provided by Tony Ladrillono's band, the group warmed-up for the following
day's activities. They joined the foundation day parade of T.R.Yangco Catholic Educational
Institute and whet up a good appetite for the luncheon that followed hosted by Alberto
Pascasio.

Day number 3 gave way to a motorcade around-town before giving away relief goods to a
number of indigents. Lunch was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Manolito Ponce. A class reunion in
San Antonio is never complete without a picnic in Pundaquit. They headed towards Nora's Place after an early morning mass.
The old gang couldn't seem to catch-up enough of the past 40 years…dinner the following
day was held at Big Foot with some Karaoke singing. Hung-over or not, picnic was scheduled
the next and last day at Tom's Riverside.
Whoever called these Ruby Jubilarians "old" or "seniors" or "over-the-hill" definitely
need some rethinking! The folks can party for six-days straight! Well, they either found
the fountain of youth... or they could be proof to the new dictum: 60 is the new 50.
