Barbara Anonuevo Converse - 67
28 JAN 2012, San Diego - Our condolences and sympathy goes out to the loss of Marlon's beloved mom. She passed away last Saturday on January 28,2012. The officers and I extend our prayers to his family.

Her name was Barbara Anonuevo Converse (born under the name Fe Anonuevo y Baranda), had just turned 67 years of age on January 25, 2012 and resided since 1970 in San Diego. She was married to Pastor Belen Martinez in the Philippines then remarried to Bruce Lee Converse and moved to San Diego. Some of the things she loved to do was knit and crochet, watch old movies (especially westerns) and root for the San Diego Chargers. Her favorite Chargers players were wide receiver John Jefferson and running back LaDanian Tomlinson. My mom was the best cook and baker (until I met Janie). She still made the best lumpia I've ever had, though. She was also known for her awesome apple cake. I learned how to cook from my mom.
Along with myself, she is survived by her other son, John Martinez and daughter, Myhasa Phimmasone, all residing in San Diego and also a sister who lives in the Philippines. She had two other sisters and one brother. Her mother's maiden name was Esperanza Baranda and father's name was Jesus Anonuevo. She was a very private and reserved person and wished to have her ashes scattered out in the ocean along the coast of San Diego (date, time and area yet to be determined). Our family would like to thank everyone in advance. May she rest in peace.

Carmen Lacuesta Callo - 90
31 JAN 2012, San Antonio - We are deeply saddened to announce that Mrs. Carmen Lacuesta Callo passed away on January 31 at 3:00 AM. She was 90 years old and survived by her husband Francisco Callo, sons Romulo Callo, Wilfredo Callo, Amado Callo, Dominador Callo, daughter Wendy Woolridge Callo and 13 grandchildren.
The viewings are currently at her primary residence at Barangay Luna, San Antonio, Zambales.
