also loads of prizes.
Editor's Note by Chi Padua
2 JUL 2007 - During the summer, most everyone always find their mailboxes and emails full of
invitations. This is particularly so during the month of June - when two of my favorite occasions
are celebrated: graduations and weddings. Our wonderful San Diego weather always cooperates to give us sunshine and cool breeze,
a combination that makes outdoor settings all the more perfect.
It is fun to watch those Kindergarteners glide down the school's playground slide during their
promotion ceremonies - to First Grade. Particularly jubilant are parents of high school graduates, hoping those four years of raging hormones and teenage troubles will
never return. We have seen the expressions of some college graduates - a bit hard to work out. They must
know that it is soon time to pay their college loans.
Weddings are truly special for the families that come together to witness the union of two special persons
in their lives. Sometimes, particularly when the officiating priest has special abilities in performing weddings, the occasion
creates an opportunity to renew the marital vows made many years ago to one's partner
The month of July rolls in and we can't wait to see our fellow San Antonians during our
summer picnics. It is during these occasions not only do we eat and drink with our kababayans... but also the time that
we play and have a lot of fun with them. We had ball games and parlor games as well as prizes in the past, and yet we know
that theres i more to look forward to during the "WoweoWeedend" on July 14th.
To all SASDCI members... show yoru support to the organization by helping in the fundraising not only with your
donations through the candidates but also by encouraging your friends and other family members to do the same. How about planning on attending
another wowoweekend as well on September 1st and 2nd (Labor Day weekend)?
Enjoy your summer everyone!
