Marinella Reyes Padua, 20, the winner in this year’s contest and will be crowned Miss San Antonians of San Diego 2007,
is the only child of former SASDCI President Ernesto Padua, Jr. and wife Maria Paz Reyes Padua. The Reyes-Padua Family
submitted almost $22,000 in funds to the Canvassing Committee chaired by Erlinda Rafanan.
Noelle Paraggua Abad, 19, daughter of Noel and Nerissa Abad, came in second in the fundraising contest,
with more than $7,000 in funds. She will hold the title of Miss San Antonio 2007.
Megan Franco Arlantico, bestowed the title of Miss San Diego 2007, came in third with funds of more than $5,000.
Megan is the youngest and only daughter of Dan and Lina Arlantico. Megan at 15, is the youngest in the group.
The difficult job of counting the advertisements and ballots solicited by the three families is finally over for the
Board of Canvassers. The board was made up of SASDCI officers led by SASDCI Treasurer Linda Rafanan assisted by the Assistant
Treasurer Marie Flaviano and other officers like Rowena Casiano, Ramon Galang, Conching Pascasio, Medy Pascasio, Nick Aquino,
and Adela Hernandez among others.
The association is very thankful to these families for their hard work and contributions. These families will all go to SASDCI's Hall of Fame.
Fundraising is never an easy task for any organization like ours but the Reyes-Padua, Paraggua-Abad, and Franco-Arlantico Families have given our
association hope to pursue future projects and activities.
To the donors – Mabuhay kayo! Your generosity is very much appreciated indeed. A Treasurer's Report of the
Canvassing will be published here in the website after audit.
See you all at the Coronation Night!
*** SASDCI officers and members are busy preparing for our 27th Anniversary celebration this September 1st and 2nd.
Call any of the officers or email us if you want to reserve a ticket for the Dinner-Dance. We look forward
to seeing you all at the Dinner/Dance-Coronation on Saturday and at the Picnic on Sunday.
